We will give preference to those who are committed to helping with planning and art before we go and/or who are arriving early in the week and can help set up. All campers must agree to remain until Sunday afternon and participate in strike.

There is also a minimum of participation needed from each individual to make this camp happen. The minimum is 7 hours which you can volunteer for setting up, strike or driving. Unfortunately this does not include a meal shift. See Roles sign up page.

Camp Fees

To camp with the Blyss Abyss, there is a camp fee and a meal plan fee of $75.

If paying by PayPal, please add a 2.9%+$0.3 fee ie: If your total is $75 there is a $2.48 fee, $90=$2.91, $105=$3.35, $120=$3.78, $165=$5.09, $180=$5.52, $195=$5.96. Please add this to the total. Thank you!

The Meal Plan is optional (but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED). Each participant is asked to contribute 7 to 17 hours of playa or pre-playa volunteer time. The registration form will ask what area you'd like to help out with, but take a look at the roles page to learn more about what teams need help.

Meal Plan

The meal plan includes one communal meal a day (and loads o'snacks, too!). Just think of being served a hot dish of eggs and bacon after a long night of frolicking across the playa, when you haven't the energy to even think of operating a Coleman stove. Go on, eat up!

How to Register

Registration is an easy process via our fabulous registration system.
At the time of registration, please provide the name of your Blyss Abyss Buddy, read and agree to the information on this page, and volunteer for a team or for work shifts. All of these fields must be filled out completely in order to become registered. Payment or scholarship information must be received within 7 days of registration for the process to be complete. Payment can be made by paypal, check or money order. Contact the registrar with questions.

Registration Payment and Refund Policy

As an incentive to register early, fees are tiered—the earlier you register, the less you pay. Some scholarships are available; conditions of scholarships will be arranged individually, but every camper will be expected to pay for their meal plan and at least $10 for registration. These fees will be fully refundable until July 15. If you decide after July 15 that you will not be camping with the Blyss Abyss, your fees will be refunded as follows:

July 15-Aug 10: 75% refund
Aug 10-15: 50% refund

If you cancel your registration after August 15, no refund can be guaranteed. If funds are available, a 50% refund will be made after Burning Man.
