We want the Blyss Abyss to be fun, intimate, and connected. For that reason, we would like the invitation process to be very intentional. Every participant should be directly connected to someone in Blyss Abyss (much like bringing a guest to an RS ANDC): a Blyss Abyss Buddy. Buddies are people that the core group all knows pretty well, having contributed significantly at Blyss Abyss or other community events. If you want to invite friends, find out how to get involved by emailing the registrar. A Buddy will be responsible for educating his/her guest on participation guidelines and expectations as soon as they register.
To camp with the Blyss Abyss, there is a camp fee and a meal plan fee of $65.

The Meal Plan is optional (but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED). Each participant is asked to contribute 7 to 17 hours of playa or pre-playa volunteer time. The registration form will ask what area you'd like to help out with, but take a look at the roles page to learn more about what teams need help.
The meal plan includes two meals a day (and loads o'snacks, too!). Just think of being served a hot dish of eggs and bacon after a long night of frolicking across the playa, when you haven't the energy to even think of operating a Coleman stove. Go on, eat up!
We have the potential to be a big camp, so let’s be mindful about how we grow. Invite anyone who you think would enjoy the camp and who would be a good contributor and please keep in mind what we’re trying to create. If you want to invite 12 people, please let the registrar know before you invite them.
Registration is an easy process via our fabulous registration system. At the time of registration, please provide the name of your Blyss Abyss Buddy, read and agree to the information on this page, and volunteer for a team or for work shifts. All of these fields must be filled out completely in order to become registered. Payment or scholarship information must be received within 7 days of registration for the process to be complete. Payment can be made by paypal, check or money order. Contact the registrar with questions.
As an incentive to register early, fees are tiered—the earlier you register, the less you pay. Some scholarships are available; conditions of scholarships will be arranged individually, but every camper will be expected to pay for their meal plan and at least $10 for registration. These fees will be fully refundable until July 15. If you decide after July 15 that you will not be camping with the Blyss Abyss, your fees will be refunded as follows:
July 15-Aug 10: 75% refund
Aug 10-15: 50% refund
If you cancel your registration after August 15, no refund can be guaranteed. If funds are available, a 50% refund will be made after Burning Man.
The minimum expected level of participation is 7 hours of work at Burning Man, not including your meal shift.
